There’s plenty of Christmas magic to be found at Santa’s Wonderland, held at the Adelaide Showgrounds from 8 to 24 December. Best of all, RAA members get 15% off tickets… you’ll find the details on that below.
1. Ride a reindeer
Whether Dasher or Dancer, Prancer or Vixen, or everyone’s favourite Rudolph, take a ride on a toy reindeer. It might not get you to the North Pole, but it’s fun to race against your family – there are ones for big and little kids.
2. Go tobogganing
The December heat can be unrelenting in SA, so escape with some slippin’ slidin’ snowy fun.
3. Watch a live show
There’ll be plenty of Christmas characters roaming the pavilion throughout your session, but you won’t want to miss all the singing and dancing in the three, different live shows on the main stage.
4. DIY bauble
Get your craft on and decorate your own bauble to take home and put on the tree for all to see.
5. Relive some pageant magic
Where do Christmas pageant floats go after they’ve made their way around our city streets? Well, some of them go to Santa’s Wonderland! Get up close to some of your (or your kids’) faves for a fun photo op.
6. Ice skate
Test your balance and coordination out on the ice – just as much fun for the big kids as well as the little ones who get special skates.
