5 ways car sharing could make your life easier

Put yourself in the driver’s seat. Maven Car Sharing is bringing flexibility, comfort and opportunity to the streets of Adelaide.   Launched by General Motors and RAA last month, the service is the latest app-based transport solution with an aim to revolutionise how South Australians get around. To use Maven, all users need to do is download an app and create an account. Bluetooth can then be used to unlock a car in the Maven fleet, stationed at 10 sharing locations around Adelaide. Vehicles are available from $8 per hour*     Speaking at the Adelaide launch, General Motors International Urban Mobility Director Anthony Riemann said that in many ways, Maven reflected society’s changing attitude towards motoring. “It’s very clear that more people are moving away from traditional ownership models, and they’re looking to consume transportation as a service,” he said. “More consumers want transport to be seamless, frictionless and on demand. Millennials seek experiences over possessions; they crave that freedom of transportation without the usual restraints of ownership.”     Wondering if Maven could work for you? If you’re looking to get away for the weekend, but aren’t confident your trusty (yet tired) hatchback will make the trip, Maven has the answer. Take your pick from a range of brand new Holdens, from sedans to SUVs, then hit the road knowing that you’re covered by insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance – not that you’re likely to need them.
